Miss Jae started 13 Lashes Photography in 2007 as an addition to her vanilla photography business. 13 Lashes Photography grew from a need for people living alternative lifestyles to have a safe, comfortable way to be photographed - and better options than the classic bathroom-mirror shots, camera-phone photos, and webcam images that were common back in the day.
Two things helped set 13 Lashes Photography apart from others at the time. First, Miss Jae was - and still is - lifestyle herself, rather than a photographer unfamiliar with or unable to understand the dynamics involved. Second, images taken by 13 Lashes Photography were, and still are, never sold, printed, or posted without a signed model release form.
